WHO we are
(and why we have such a weird name)
We're a boutique marketing agency based in Bahrain.
We love helping compassionate brands make the biggest impact.
Because compassionate brands make the world a kinder place.
You're probably wondering what kicking has to do with compassion.
And with a name like Silver Kick, how the heck are we a creative agency instead of a karate dojo?
Our Story
The name "Silver Kick" is the superhero name of Shabana Feroze, founder and managing director.
Shabana fell in love with marketing in the 11th grade. Being an artist, she already had a strong creative streak. The creativity needed in all stages of marketing attracted her to the subject. Customer psychology, brand image and reputation, taglines and artworks. All these aspects of the field piqued her interest.
She topped Bahrain in the subject of Marketing in grade 12. She went on to get a degree in Marketing & Advertisement from the prestigious Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce, Pune, India. She passed with Distinction. Her assignments and projects were so well-researched that her adoring professors kept them to show the next classes. While she was in Pune, Shabana got a diploma in event management. This rounded off her education in the field of marketing.
Having completed her studies, she came back to Bahrain and was quickly hired as a Marketing Executive in one of the island's top multinational companies. Soon she was handling the marketing for the company's entire food and beverage line.
This included international franchises like Chili's, DQ Grill & Chill, Costa Coffee and Papa John's Pizza. Shabana handled the marketing for the GCC region of Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, KSA, UAE and Kuwait, traveling frequently to attend meetings in these countries.
Working here, she got a lot of intensive experience handling all verticals of marketing and media. That too in different countries, for a huge variety of brands. Over time she marketed supermarkets, FMCG products, fashion brands and other sectors that the company expanded into. Shabana organized many events like press conferences, store launches and more. She enjoyed her time at the company and was quickly promoted to Senior Marketing Executive.
Facebook launched business pages in 2009 in Bahrain. Shabana was fascinated by social media marketing. She loved how it made a direct connection with the customer. Social media made it super easy for the customer to talk to the brand. Shabana started Facebook pages for all the brands of the company. In this way, she was a forerunner in digital marketing, having seen the birth and evolution of all platforms, and the shift from traditional marketing to digital.
During her time there, she started a self-love and outfit blog called The Silver Kick Diaries. A fitness freak, she used to attend LesMills BodyCombat classes (mixed martial arts) and loved them. So much so that a close friend once joked she should fight bad guys at night. And so her superhero persona Silver Kick was born. (Shabana doesn't really go out fighting bad guys at night, no matter how much she wants to.)
After 4 years of working in the MNC, she moved to Dubai to try her luck there, only to land a high-profile job back in Bahrain. This time in a very different field - cars. She became the Group Marketing Manager for a dealership that sold brands like Mitsubishi, Peugeot and MG.
At the same time, Shabana did her certification in LesMills BodyCombat and BodyBalance, to start teaching what she loved being a student of.
Once she started giving classes in gyms, she quickly realized that a rigid 9 to 5 wouldn't suit her lifestyle where she wanted to pursue both passions - marketing and fitness. She resigned from her job and within a year, started her own agency. This was in 2014. She named it The Silver Kick Company because she already had a blog called The Silver Kick Diaries. And "Silver Kick" had become an alter ego and title she loved.
Shabana is still a freelance group fitness instructor. She gives energy-filled classes to participants who love her tough style and passion. She brings the same passion for her classes to help her clients at TSKC.
Over the years, TSKC has expanded, working with a wonderful team of lovely people and compassionate brands, all over the world. We pick and choose clients we love, and they love us back. So that’s our story.
